Carlos Lopez is a 2013-2015 GateWay Gecko Alumni. He is a talented and experienced coach with a passion for developing young players and a proven ability to lead teams to success. His coaching background includes serving as an Assistant Soccer Coach at Multnomah University from 2022 to 2024. Coach Lopez's philosophy centers on improving player behavior through mentoring and constructive criticism. He motivates athletes by focusing on training habits and he evaluates individual knowledge and skills to assign players to positions where they can excel.
In addition to his coaching roles, Carlos Lopez has also held leadership positions in operations and logistics, which have honed his skills in strategic planning and team management. He is a graduate of Multnomah University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in History where he was also a player-coach for the university's soccer team. He has a Master's Degree in Management and Leadership from Jessup Univeristy and is a part-owner of a semi-professional soccer team.
